I have a Hauck clutch kit sitting around in my spare parts pile and am wondering if I can use the red secondary spring in my SRX with the heelclickers in place of my aged green Yammy spring.Does anyone know the spring twist rate compared to the green Yamaha spring?

I DON,T REMEMBER THE RATE, BUT I DO KNOW THE SECONDARY TWIST (degree,s) TENSION IS DIFFERENT THAN THE YAMAHA SPRINGS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I'm assuming you mean 10-20* less twist rate than what I have now?
I was planning to buy a new green Yamaha spring to replace the old one but I have this red Hauck one and figured I may as well use it if the twist rate is anywhere near the same.

No only 10 degress or 20 degrees. The spring is either a cat or plaris spring. At 10 degrees with the hauck red spring is like 120 degrees with a oem green spring.Look at where the tabs are on the spring the twist is diffrent.

Hauck red spring in secondary works very well with heelclickers. I have run a 50/38 helix and a red hauck spring at (converted to) 60 and 70 degrees, with heelclickers and red heelclicker spring in primary. That was an awesome set up, the heelclickers are in the mountainmax now but I might consider swapping to those again when I'm done chasing top speed.

I think that's just about the exact same helix angles I have too (Dalton) if I remember right. It was what Turk recomended years ago and I'd have to go out to the shed and look to make sure but it's close to what you have.
The whole kit come from Hauck with primary spring shims, new bolts for the weights in place of the rivets, secondary spring (red) and helix (w I believe ,54/44? ).

I bought the hauck red spring separately. Then I bought the #5 hauck kit which had a grey spring.
