hey, yesterday i was riding my viper in the hills, i got it from joe chaulk alot of mods on it, and i was catwalking, and hit the tunnel really hard and she just shut off no bog no nothing theres gas in er, she was low but put 2.5 gallons in and tryed to prime it through the plug hole but not even a kick, and she got spark. any ideas where to start? this is what is on it --> its a stock bore stroke 696cc triple mild trail port, cpr tripple pipes/tripple silencer. cpr head mod to even out and lower the compression. vforce3 reeds with 165 mains 52.5 pilots heel clicker clutch kit primary with a custom cut 52/40 helix in the secondary. 20/40 gearing with a 70 link chain. 9t antiratchets. extended to 136" with a 2.25 finger track cut to 1.75" . boss highrise seat with optional led light and rear storage. 3" handlebar risers with a stock mountain viper grab bar and there is a variflow installed in the airbox.

With gas in the cylinder and you have spark it SHOULD fire. Might have knocked the the "sense" out of the cdi, could be firing out of time....just a theory

snow, it was soft snow the hard snow i was catwalking going fast then she just bought up and shut off like the motor just died, no bog no noise nothing just shut off like kill switch bit faster

do your plugs fire when pistons are near top dead centre?.. this sounds unusual.. hope it's not too bad... tj

did you pour gas in three plug holes? check your compression and colour of your spark.she should run if you have good compression and spark.

my buddies said there was spark but i checked it today, and theres no spark, i joined a few wires up, the key one was messed up a bit, the kill switch seems to be broken but i unpluged it and still no spark, know anywhere to check? and the time plate and the little black boxes forgot what they are called got readings

well, seems we're starting all over...
get the messed up wiring straight first...to be completely sure you're not getting a kill signal to the CDI from the kill switch or the ignition switch, disconnect (Black/White) wire right at CDI.. (This is one wire, a Black wire with a White tracer... NOT 2 WIRES)..
Then try starting again and visually looking for spark with the plugs removed from the heads... tj

im new to the sx viper, do yous know where the boxes and stuff are to? is it them lo thingies on the left side behiend that pannel?

shes going, it was bad connection from the time plate to the harness, straightened up the prongs er what ever and spark right away
