Guys.....it's been 11 years since i rode my last SRX......I have obviously "moved on" and have newer sleds that i ride as my primary ones(non-yamaha, light weight 2-strokes)....but have a chance at obtaining a mint 98' SRX 600 that i originally sold and it has maybe 1000 miles on it......just wondering if I should try and "work a deal" with this guy and try and purchase this summer....sure would be another cool sled to have.....or i could clean it up for him, go through it(carbs & stuff) and try and sell for him also......I don't know. I'm pretty sure he never brought it in to have the crank fixed (welded) when yamaha was pretty much doing all of the 1998 srx's back in that time period....

Your thoughts????

Depends on the benjamins. If you can pick it up cheap enough I would say go for it. I just swapped a western uni mount that I had nothing into (represented part of profit margin on other wheeling and dealing) and he gave me $400 to boot! Sled has 8,000 miles on it but is very clean with supposedly 2500 on engine rebuild. Has near new looking predrilled camoplast track with no studs. He brought 700 worth of receipts from small shops working on it trying to figure out why pto cylinder kept fouling plugs. Caps looked like crap and pto cap has a deep groove from PV cable. $12 bucks in caps and I run a half tank of gas threw it dinking arounld and couldnt foul that plug again!

Yea...I know...always about the $$$$$
I would love to have just for the "special occasions" i could bring with us on a UP trip or something just to take a quick trip to Foggy's or something....and to race my dad's decent running high millage 97'SX...for sh!ts & giggles i guess. Love the sound and power of the SRX tripples.... :2strokes:

My girlfreind busts my stones about my love affair with the SRX's. I now have 4 and its getting harder each time to justify buying another one.......BUT I JUST GOTTA HAVE IT! They call to me...."I want to be part of the fleet" I have the same afflection with chevy 4X4's as well!
