Putting sleds away for the summer and noticed 00 carbides (something 6") Getting a lil thin and 99's (something 4") are WHOOPED! Both sleds are long traveled with 196ish studs. Was looking at CB performance for options for replacement. Has any one run the dooleys? Have seen ads the Cb carbides are supposed to last the longest. Any one running something they LOVE or HATE?

I ran bergstrom 8" triple points with 1/4" ski savers on my srx this winter with C & A skis. It worked awesome, no darting with easy steering and excellent bite in corners.

My buddy ran dooly's on his vmax and said they were awful. Really easy steering but it would not turn well at all. He bought some kimpex arrow skis to replace them and likes them much better.

Kind of in the same boat. Put on 6" doolies 2 seasons ago and they were awesome for making the darting completely disappear and the sled is much more ridable and enjoyable overall. But, have noticed that they just don't handle like the 10" single carbides that came off. My sled used to handle like it was on rails, now I have to watch it when coming into a corner especially if it's icy. Wish I could figure out something that's the best of both worlds. Before I felt like my sled was trying to kill me on the straightaways, now it just trys to kill me in the corners. lol

4,6 or 8? I am 230ish with 192+ studs. Thinking 6 or 8? 00 has benders quik steer kit so on that one 8 for sure? How hard does the tripple point bite? Dont want to arm wrestle carbides all day either?

OUCH....$$$$$ per their site with my studs I should run 8" $200 with free ski savers. Does any one know if they come with the shims to? Thinkin 00 will get the bergstoms and the 99 will get something a lil cheaper.

Im running 144 studs and just went with the 6" and im 240lbs with gear. No problems at all. Plus if you wait you can get off season pricing during the summer. I paid 165 and the savers and shims were free. This is the only carbide i will run for now on. I only put 500 miles on mine this winter with the bad weather but had to hit alot of dirt, pavement and dirt along the way. They look like new. Also no darting. A-1 in my book. ;)! ;)!

I have 192 studs in my track and am around 250. I run a 6in woodys dooly on my right ski and a 6in woodys single on the left ski. This setup works great. Has great turning in corners and no darting.

Buy off season April thru August and get something like 25% off (?) You will not be disapointed, well worth the money. Call Scott to verify.

I've read a lot of great reviews about Bergstroms.

I've never used anything but 8" Woodys (executive?) and have the original set I put on my '01.

IMO - conditions and riding habits have a lot to do with longevity. I also know guys that ride a lot of plowed roadsides that swap them side to side.

I run doolys, no darting and do awesome i'm hardpack, but don't take long for the edge to b wore so it pushes a little in corners especially if its icy. Usually run 6", tried 8" for the last set and they are about the same but do last even longer.

My buddy @ work likes the Shaper bars on the stock SRX skis (with them shimmed). He runs Gold Digger studs too, can't recall if he runs a 144 pattern or more though. He uses this scenerio on two SRX's with the stock studded track turned backwards.

I did the run the track backwards on a few older sleds back in the day, Unstuded. Helps with hook up but seemed to make sled all kinds of squirrelly while breaking on ice or hard pack. The 99 has a newer camoplast challenger? I think. Would be the same running it either way. Going bergstromson the 00srx. Going to run something else on 99 with the intention if they dont work I have a 98 600 unstuded that wont need so much bite. I will be studding the 600 but with only 96. Mainly for stopping and feeding the coolers on ice/hard pack.
