Can you believe it, a set of NOS 76 SRX skis sold for $1100 on ebay. That is skis only no springs or shocks.

I know a dude out your way that paid $1200 for a NOS seat for his 74 GPX. That was a one year only too with that seat pattern.

260978778010 ....I have a friend that took a used set of 76 skis and cut off the curved tip and all the brackets. Then had a sheet metal shop form the straight part of the ski, then a little welding and a little grinding/polishing and they looked like a new set of skis. You had to look very very closely to see what had been done.

a 77 fuel tank went for $510 (and a skid or $850) recently as well!

77 fuel tank
The 77 fuel tank was relisted for some reason. Original auction it sold for $510 then on the relisting it sold for $611. Always makes you think whats up? Every once and awhile you get a good find for a good price.

These are 1 maybe 2 year parts for some of the MOST desirable sleds ever built by anyone. 76-77SRX
Even guys that don't like Yamaha like these sleds. Parts are getting VERY hard to find and if you don't have the right parts you don't have a complete sled. I understand why some are willing to pay these prices. Stuff like that doesn't come up often.

PS, To any of you that have 76-77 SRX fuel tanks (others too) that are broken, cracked, etc.
I can and do fix them (doin a 77 tank right now). So if you have a busted SRX tank and don't want to spend $600+ for an unbusted one off ebay send it to me. I'll fix er up and you will have a hard time telling it ever had an issue.

I'm thinking about just parting my 77, at that rate I could end up with enough to actually get paid something for all the work I put into it. There is a new 77 srx choke cable at $97 on e-bay and a set of 77 8f2 piston and rings that are at $450 with a lot of time left. Prices are unreal. hman
77 Srx
I was thinking the same thing with my 2 77's. But I don't think I could make enough to cover the cost of therapy I would need. LOL

I have been nabbing up a few of those parts myself! I have many, many 8F2 parts and least the following list is brand new and in the packages in many cases:
Hood with decals
Hood decals
Front bumper
Head light assy
Hood side screens
Belly pan
Belly pan rubber spindle covers
Hood hinges
Handle bar pad
Brake lever assy
Kill switch with black cover
Suspension springs
Nylon suspension rollers
Brass leaf spring inserts
scags stock and factory carbides
Snow flap
Tail light
Track cleats
Starter parts
Many pistons and rings
Crank parts and all bearings
All carb parts
Water pump innards
ignition parts
Many clutch parts
Almost every nut and bolt for the entire sled
The only thing I really need is an NOS track. Anybody???

dynofun, if a set of NOS 76 ski's go for $1100 than I would guess a NOS 77 srx pan would snatch somewhere around $2500. I would love to be setting on that. Keep up the great collection Rick.

Thanks hman. I have spent a lot of time at it. Some of it I have had since the 70's. I think I paid $1400 for the pan thanks to Greg Hudson deciding that the very first 77 SRX made should have it.

One of the cleanest 77's I have seen sold for over $9k here last week. I think the same sled brought $10,600 a few years ago.

Thanks toydoc, not serious about parting it but with the price and availabilty of parts I will probably never run it.
