I am in the process of fixing my crashed SRX 700. The handlebars I bought off eBay have handlebar hooks but for some reason the throttle side hook is upwards and not downwards like it should be. I removed the hook so I could face it down but I cannot for the life of me remove the other part that is inside the handlebar. All I have to do is remove the inside part but I am not sure how to get it out.....I already took the Allen head screw out and removed the hook portion....can't get the other part out :o| Any suggestions? Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, they work just like a bicycle bar that uses two ramps/wedges that when tightened with the allen screw the wedges are driven together and forced into the I.D. of the bar.

Re-install the allen screw a few turns in but leave it loose, then tap on the screw to force the inner wedge away from the outer wedge.
