Well in all my memory i have never known or saw anyone cut there lawn in march. Granted i was born, raised, and live in the same 20 miles my whole life. I thought my lawn could hold out till april for a cut on pure principal. Well it had to be done. I have mowed the lawn in march. My lawn looks nicer now then most of last year!!!!. My wifes flowers look great and i even opened my pond (just a little play pond but none the less). I have never been one to belive in the end of the world stuff but man. Maybe the aliens are comming in december. Like i read somewhere maybe they like snowmobiling and will save all of us sleders. Bet their space ship has a yamaha engine in it LOL!! Most likely even a 4-stroke, dependability and all!! LOL!! Man just cant believe this weather. We still had 6" of snow on the ground with a storm the 26th that dumped 6" more last march. It rained tonight with thunder and lightning, not just your usuall march snow storm LOL!! Well to a great summer guys and hopefully a better winter ahead!!!!!!!! ;)! ;)!

Yesterday it was almost 90 out up here in Petoskey. A guy told me that the world record for march for the hottest day was set in 2007 with a high of 53. What is going on? lol Its been in the 80's all week.

nice March here, but will cool down some next week with rain..but still wayabove normal.Had to take advantage of the weather. So I de-thatched my lawn(about 3.5 acres) the other day.Today changed oil, filters on garden tractor and gas operated grass vacuum system that is towed behind.Slent all day pickinbg up the dead grass and crap..lawn looks green now.Trees are starting to bud slightly. This is aprox 2 months ahead of schedule.
Washed my 2 sleds also and put them in the back shed, still have to fog the motors.Been going all day, really tired now..need a shower and sleep.Tomorrow will be just as much work to do..that's what you get when you live in the Country(Farming area) work..work..work..but I enjoy it.

I hear ya! Was in the 80's all week with yesterday being almost 90*. Today is supposed to be about 72*, then dropping down into the 50's this weekend and staying that way all next week. Been a great week for riding the bike but too warm for me being only March. Haven't seen any black flies yet but yet the mosquito's are out already and the ticks are running rampant in the woods. Those things SUCK!! Looking forward to summer, just hoping it's not a scorcher!
Don't mind a little heat but the humidity wears on me really quick.

a lot of big flies out here and have seen the odd mosquito.Last summer mosquitoes were really non existent due to dryness..that was nice.Yep I agree that I really hate the heat also and humidity..
