Bender and SLP both made 800's
Bender used their pipes and slp makes a set of big bore pipes.
In the tech pages is the Bender 800 set-up/jetting and says 165hp.

I'm not sure the guy thinks a place called peak performance did the big bore? idk but the pipes are slp. and i think its the big bore. what are some things to watch out with this kind of motor? whether its the big bore or stright 800 idk the difference.

Peak makes the cylinder head-all the domes he makes are cut for a 700 unless
someone rechambered them for the big bore.

Ya idk thats just what i was told.

Would have to be a big bore to be an 800, no such critter as a stock 800. Other guys would know better than me but I would be leary. Depending on porting and how the head is cut pump gas could burn it down. Is 93 octane widely available? May be a sweet sled but if octane booster is going to be mandatory to ride it he maybe just wanting to get rid of his headache.

800 Sxr
i USE TO HAVE A SXR WITH BENDER 800 BB, IT HAD BENDER PIPES. IT MADE AROUND 160 HP AND RAN VERY GOOD IN THE LIGHT WEIGHT SXR. THE BIGGEST THING WITH ANY YAMAHA BIG BORE TO MAKE THEM LIVE IS GOOD FUEL AND A LOT OF HEAT EXCHANGER!!!! STOCK COOLING SYSTEM IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANY OF THE 800 MOTORS OR SRX 835 MOTORS. HEAT KILLS THESE MOTORS.
