venture struts update to newer one

i have a older venture 480 , and i was told that if you put the newer struts from a 500 or 600 it will give it more travel, now that said , i dont now what year struts to look for that will botl up to my older sled, any body has a # or pic of the strut please shoot me a post thanks.

96 Vmax 600 Xt are what you're looking for. They're front struts or shock towers... lots of names for them...

Here are some, 1 is ALMOST complete , just missing the upper hinge. But essentially this is what you want. Strut, can, hinges, etc...
