My budy just bought two mach z 800s
One stock 99 which he will keep and one modded race sled that he will sell

I posted in head to head about my buddys 02 mach z 800. Tripple ski doos pull harder than the twins. Opinions were my long travel was going to cost me the race, but he couldnt ever get the damn thing to start on command. I tooka look at it late in the season and appears to be a choke issue. Another guy in town has a 98 with recent complete rebuild of entire sled. He fancys himself has a "snowmobile mechanic" running a UNSTUDED brand new challenger track. That may have ben his major down fall as I took em by at least a couple sled lengths in 1000 ft and was only getting further away. The stock one hes keeping is a toss up but the mod one I would avoid!

The MachZ's and SRX's were my favorite two sleds of the era. That race could go either way every time. Depends on tuning and setup I guess...
