I need to reclutch my 01 SRX 151 for up to 7000 ft. I had been using the specs for a 98 mountain SRX; pink silver pink spring, 8DN-00 weights with 10.3 outer and 13.3 inner rivets and 14.5mm rollers. The 98 setup worked well until my clutch blew destroying 1 of my weights. I have two sets of 8DN-20 weights that I would like to use. The 01 SRX clutching spec for 4500 -6500 ft is; yellow white yellow spring, 8DN-20 weights with no outer and 10.3 inner rivets, I will use 14.5mm rollers even though the spec is 15.6mm. My gearing is 19/42 with 8 tooth drivers. Do any of you have any experience with this or a similar setup?

i ran the 20's. seems like it worked best with the green/green/green spring. never cared for the oem setup on from the msrx. hated it on my sled.
let me see if i still have any notes. i have actually had better luck and cooler clutch temps running a heel clicker set up. close to having it dialed on my 98.

I tried to get the green green green spring but nobody has stock so I got a green white green which my dealer says is a bit stiffer. I will try it on the weekend.

i was mistaken. i last ran the 10's. i cant find my notes for the 20's, cant even find the weights. wonder who i loaned them to? i ran the 10's with 4.5 gram rivets in both holes and the 15.6 rollers along with the y/w/y spring. i found with the smaller rollers the engagement was harsh and made the sled want to trench as opposed to ride on top. with the larger rollers seems like the engagement was smoother and the sled stayed on top better.
i tried to use the msrx specs but was never happy. the 8DN00's loaded with the g/g/g spring was probably the best setup of the bunch until i went with the heelclickers. after using the hc's, i wouldnt even consider using an oem weight again.
think of using the heelclickers in the future(40-10Y), you may be surprised. down side is the vendors have little to know testing with altitude, i have many hours invested and i am close. flat love the response and the cool sheave temps.

Buddy of mine ran the 10's with the 4.5's also. Worked great. I used the 20's one time in my 600, but basically ran them empty to pull it at 10000. Used heelclickers in my 780 out west. Was really happy with the way they worked.
