Hi guys, I want to stick with the stock 8AB weights and need to drop 200 RPM after leaning the carbs properly and installing the thin head gasket. I see they want more weight in the inner hole than the outer in most cases, should I just put the 17.2's(in place of the 13.9's) in the outer holes(for top end influence), inner holes, or both holes?
I know you talked about it before turk but I am curious just how much difference the inner and outer really make....thanks

Running a straight cut helix you usually run more weight inner then outer with those style of weights. With a multi-angle lower finish helix you allways run more in the tip.

ok, thats very helpful, I am running the stock 43 degree....now do you think the 17.2 will be enough or should I go more?

The mods were done a few years ago, I had been controlling the shift with the secondary and want to do it the right way now. The weights are on the bench waiting to go back in with whatever rivets I finally choose. The tach read 8200 the last time I rode it with the sec clutch back to stock, from my previous experiences the tach is 100-200 rpm high so I am shooting for 8000(7800 true) on the clock which means I need to lose roughly 200 rpm.....
