Hi

I have a real noticeable vibration in the track. At speed it's not noticeable but it shudders a lot at walking speed. If I let go of the throttle and let it coast to a stop there is a hurr hurr huuur just before it stops. If I drive and lock up the brakes and let it skid to a stop there is also a I don't know how to descirbe it, a soft rattling sound, not a sharp metallic one.

I have turned the track by hand and it seems to rotate smoothly and the driveshaft doesn't seem to be bent either, (I can't say for sure but it seems that in order to cause that big a vibration it should be visible by the naked eye), if I lift it up and give it throttle while watching. I am mystified as to what it could be.

I had the exact same thing happen to me a long time ago on a 79 exciter

It turns out there was a small piece of belt delaminated.

It felt like it was coming from the track. I couldnt believe a small piece coming off the belt would cause that

sounds like a flat spot in the belt or your slides are just a bit too long or you have a bad bearing in the drive shaft
