i am thinking about rebuilding my o1 srx i dont wanna spend the money for a big bore. but i was thinking going a size or 2 bigger and maybe a lil port work. what else can i do that would be worth doing to get me some more ponies

it all depends on how much you want HP wise, a trail ported 700 will put you in the low 150's, a 780 will put you in the low 160's, all under $1500 if you want more you have to pay more

My buddies 780 is pushing 185 with Bender Big Bore pipes...I thought a ported SRX was closer to 160hp...am I think about a race ported 700?

my aggressive trail/lake race ported 700 made 151 on the dyno, mrviper said my 780 should be 160-165.

a trail 780 with stock pipes and carbs is in the 160-165 range, can get 180-185 with the bender big bore pipes, bigger carbs and some case work.

ok thanks guys can you mill the heads on these moters or no because of the oring gaskets?b

yes you can mill the heads. the oring grooves are in the cyls
