Sorry boys as much as I loved my old Yammie I found a killer deal on a M8. I will still be on and searching for an another sled, possibly a Viper that I can trail ride but I do a lot of off trail now and the SXR is just a plow and a 4 stroke is just now what I need being 240 and wanting to dig out... Have fun and ride safe yall!

Go ahead have your little fling! Those arctic cat's can be sexy, but it's just a matter of time before she will be cheating on you, holding back her favors and failing to perform her duties.

Catch you on the flip side.:)

better have a Yamaha riding with you,you may need a tow home eventually..sorry to say...seena few Cats out this way in years being towed home because of blown motors....pretty funny actually..good luck with yours...

I was thinking he found a hell of a deal on a pile of scrap metal... See ya at the "yard" this early winter. Just playing good luck.

I must confess I have a lot of those unfaithful thought myself these days. I have been saving up some money for a few years and would like a newer sled. But I'm not to keen on spending my hard earned money on something heavy and complex. I will always keep my blue sled and love the way it rides when the trails are smooth, but the trails are hardly ever smooth and the old back is getting worse every year. Really torn because my buds all ride yamaha and if I bought something else and it ever broke I would never hear the end of it. Might just have to settle for a 2-3 years old Nytro and see how that goes.

I got rid of the MM700 a few years ago...went with a 09 Nytro and hated almost every second of it. Ya it always started but everything else broke. wiring issues, blowing belts, suspension breaking apart, not to mention being dead tired at the end of a day of riding from trying to make it do what I could on an M8 effortlessly.

Needless to say I went with a 2010 M8HO and could not be happier. 2 full seasons with no disappointments and serious hard riding! Not sure if I would go with the 2012 or not but the 10/11 800HO takes a beatin!

Every manufacturer has their issues but at the end of the day it's up to you!

Yamaha build a great motor but that's it. The rest of the sled is light years behind. My wife is still on her MM600 only because she doesnt ride that hard.

Yes all Yamaha has going is their engines, but are falling way behind with design and engineering while other brands have engineered newer products with new suspensions, lighter chassis and motors that are standing up now.If you want to be #1 in the industry, you have to keep spending money as a Company to create a better product. I wander why Yamaha is in 4 th spot????
Thanks for your honesty there taylzee....

I've ridden and been around the 10/11 M8's. Those are quite the sled and I would not be afraid to own one, Along with the Polaris 2012 Pro's. Or a heavily modded 08? M7 just for throwing around and tree riding. But I still love my Apex 174" for doing it all!!

Call me fortunate, but I ride with them all and none of us are shy about letting everyone try things out.
We were in the Bighorns this year with the 2010 and 2012 M8 and a 2012 Pro800. The 2012 M8 was a 162 and I wasn't really likin it. It just didn't seems to respond to my style of riding. When I was on the Pro800, if I closed my eyes and had another inch of rise I could have sworn I was on a slightly power lacking 2010 M8 with a bit better supsension.
A couple buddies back home here have the 2012 summit 800s. They can sure wheelie but as soon as that nose goes down...HOLD ON!

Long story short...if you can try before you buy...do it. Not every sled fits a guys riding style.
