Does anybody know the wire code to match a nytro tail light up to a viper? Im sure black to black but lost on the other 2. Thanks for any help!

If nobody can get this for you just grab a battery, ground the black wire and touch the other 2 one at a time to see what you get for tail light and brake light.Write down the corresponding color to the function (tail or brake ) and then match them to your sled.If you don't know which ones do what on yours use a test light to find out,of course if you have fogged your engine this can be a bit difficult as you will need the engine running to test this.

That would be great staggs. Ones off a apex mtn and the other off a nytro shortie. The lights are exactly the same except the lenght of the pigtale. The light has three wires, a blue, black, and a yellowish white. Im sure they are all the same from 08 up for either the nytro or any mtn sled that uses that light. And both sleds are fogged for the offseason so i will have to chase them down in the manual diagram. Just thought if someone did it already it would save me the trouble on the viper end. But now that i think about it i might have some of what i need in my estart write up. But if you can get me the wire colors for the nytro light that would be great. Thanks

Chris,
I have one out of a phazer im putting in my viper next fall. I hooked it up to a bat charger. Black was negative yellow was brake and blue was tail. The brake light had some type of resistor with shrink wrap on it not sure what that is for but im thinking i'd better keep it on. But yeah, a battery or charger should work if you cant get it from another TY'er.

Thanks, i bet thats right on. I know the blue/red stripe is tail light from viper harness. And black to black, so know i just need to find out where the yellow wire goes on viper harness. Think i have a green and orange left. I wonder why the viper harness has 4 wires into 3 on seat???

I'm failing miserably with the diagrams for the Nytro light. they're listed as B (ground), L/R, and G. other than the B=black the other 2 dont make much sense. G on the diagram is brake and L/R is tail-light. sorry couldnt be more help but looks like JDViper got it for you anyways

The only thing i can think of for the 4th wire is for rear heated hand grips on the venture. Im sure it doesnt do anything but they probably made them all the same.

Thats a good thought. It dead ends into the seat harness so that makes sence. From my wiring diagrams and your help from the phazer light it looks like a straight forward hook up. Blue/ red from viper goes to blue on nytro light (tail), Green/yellow goes to yellow on nytro light (brake), and black to black. Wont know for sure till i fire it up in the fall but thats got to be it. If not easy fix.
