1979 Enticer 340 Question

Hi All,

I'm new to these forums, but somewhat of a veteran over on the TY4stroke forum. This spring, we bought my oldest son (7 Yrs. Old) a 1979 Enticer 340. He has been riding his 2004 Ski Doo 120 for 3 years now and it was time for something bigger. We are looking at restoring this sled over the summer as a father/son project. Sled is a little rough, but not in that bad of shape. Runs good and everything. My question to you is, what year Enticer parts work with the 79 that we have? I found a 1982 Enticer in good shape for a very good price and looking at maybe picking this up as a parts sled. Thanks for your help.

As long as it's the same style Enticer (hood design) it should be mostly the same (78'-83').....i think the only thing they changed were the Idler wheels in the suspension (and offered a long track in 82' also) until they changed the design of the hood & stuff for the 1984? model year, and even then i don't think they changed much under the hood type stuff...
Good choice on the sled - my son will be running a 1980 Enticer 340 for the next year also!!!

Thanks for the response MSASRX. The sled, other than the color, looks exactly the same as our 79. For the price, I'm thinking this would make a good parts sled as the one we have needs some fixing up.
