Has anyone ever painted the case, primer + Aluminum + clear coat and if so did hold up doing it this way and also I was wondering does it make the motor run hotter. (trapping heat)

get it bead blasted
Blast it. Tried the paint and doesn't look very good after a couple of years. Maybe powdercoating it would hold up not sure.
okay bead blast it is, should i put a clear coat after? Also the blaster has black beauty sand in it now will that work or should i just get my lazy *** to the store and get a bag of glass bead?

I wouldnt use the black beauty on aluminum it's quite abrasive. I tried the clear coat before and the problem with it is it yellows over time.
