1977 exciter 340

I just got this 1977 exciter 340 out of the barn my buddy and i are going to to a grass drag sled out of it in memory of our buddy whom just passed away. Were looking for ideas to help it move a little better. need help with clutching and gearing any exhaust mods dual carb setups anything would help at this point.

single 38mm mikuni works great with a comet clutch. i took out the rear shock so the skis are off the ground a little. most places dont alow you to add carbs or do any thing to the exhaust in stock. on mine the gearing is a 19-35 for 500 feet. hope this helps

That must be a US model. Canada had a 340 STX in 76 and no 340 in 77. I have seen one of these with factory twin carbs!! I know where it is but am having difficulty getting my hands on the sled.

Thank you guys . Would ya know what intakes will will fit this sled like a gp intake bc my four bolt intake peice is shot ans im looking to swap it to a two bolt setup
