yep no baby steps here..just ride it like you stole it seems to be the way.Saw this article the same time I was re building my engines.
When I bought my srx new they got me to bring it back in right away to get the crank welded. I remember asking the mechanic about how to break it in and he told me the same thing... ride it hard!
This a great site. I have always done the hard break in. Put 60 miles on my first viper before I took it out on the snow. Broke it in on the grass, then ice, Never that was one strong motor.
