Hello,

My buddy wants to put some pipes on his viper. I have some bender pupes on my viper and have noticed they are a serious pain to take on and off and am wondering if different pipe makers lik slp or hauck pipes are easier to install?

I want him to go with the slp pipes for the reason being they give you baseline jetting and clutching ingormation in the instructions it takes alot of the guess work out of it.

Also does anyone have any used viper pipes in good condition forsale? Paint or coating doesnt have to be great. Also wat does ceramic coating cost?

I have a set of slp pipes, for the lower rpms, these and benders are better. I would sell these for 275 shipped, they could use some paint, no cracks or dents/bends.

Heat coatings work for heat retention to a point. I look at them more as good high temperature paint. The pipes will be more forgiving if you wrap them with heat tape. years ago I did some tests on air intake temperature with pipes, stock, srx and slp coated. low speed temps were very high. Not sure if they are on this site or riches old site. The closer to a constant air intake temperature as well as a constant pipe temperature you can get to, your sled will be easier to jet and clutch.
