I noticed the tell-tale green stain on my carb coolant valve today and was wondering if anyone has had these apart to replace the seal (I assume it's an o-ring). Just thought I'd ask before I wasted half an hour on a non-servicable part.
Oh ya, its the style that gets screwed onto the airbox ala Vmax/Venture. All the searches I tried came up with the viper, in the head valve ???
Thanks.

I've had Mountain maxes over the last six years with the most being 3700 miles on one never had a problem with the valve and have always had a little seapage not enough to make a differance though.

We had one come completely apart but that was on a 00 Mountain Max and I think there was a recall on it, covered under warranty at any rate.

Thanks Redmater,
I did see that thread during my search but my sled is a 2000 and it has the brass fittings, so I figured that was a moot point. I'm going to mess around with it tomorrow, I can always join the hoses together if I screw up the valve(till I get another one).
