Hey Scott, hows that srx piped viper doin? did ya get it all finalized and complete? how about some pics??? I have been thinkin of doin 1 for fun. I have a friends to use as the guinea pig. You used 98 pipes because of the length right? probally will go with a aftermarket can for weight and size. I have a 01 srx cdi box, I remember you sayin somethin about switching a wire around for coolant light or???? I also have a set of mega power heads to use with the water rail. The last thing wanted to know about was the cut in the bellypan, any pics of it??? Since we have no snow here might as well take on a project to kill some time in between grindin aluminum. Let me know, thanx alot, take it easy........ ;)!

I also would look to trade the viper cylinders and powervalves for srx cylinders and valves, let me know if ya know of any, dont care what year as long as they are nice, I am gonna port them anyways.

have i got a deal for you.
call me monday at work,
i have cylinders ported or non
no snow in maine to ride yet but yeh i think all my problems last year was running the viper box by accident.
also the heads that were suppose to be cut for high compression, but you know that story.

here are some pictures of the pan, i later used a shield and formed it into the hole so it looks like the pipes are haning out but is sealed up.

also a picture of the bypased guage.

make up wire to send a signal to the cdi box from the sending unit from another harness. to bypass the guage i just cut the bottom off a sending unit and sodered in a resistor then sealed it with sylicone. this way it will plug directly in.

few last things

Scott, thanx for the pics, I now know what I need to chop up. I figured the job would be easier with srx topend to start with plus better cooling and striaight timing on all 3 cylinders. I was wondering, could a guy use the stock exh. shield as a pan for the bellypan protruding part of the pipe, then coat the bare pipes, I know the stock shields are not that thick, but figured every micro inch counts here, how close are the pipes to the hood? Maybe without the shields the pipes would lay down even more in the chassis?? Any idea what the resistor is for the guage?(ohm rating) Thanx again...

Hey Scott, your gonna have to change your signature when I am done, there can be only 2.....lol!!!!!, I think I will call mine darth viper.

Scott, hey, look down below and give me your input on the shield idea and what you did. No chrome front end, just carbon fiber.....lmao.......not :Moon:

hey whats your work number again????
