Is there such a thing on a viper? My brake light only comes one when I lock the track up squeezing the brake really hard. Under normal tapping it will not illuminate. Is there a adjustment or so I need a new sensor underneath the brake lever? Thanks!

there is a small nut under the hand brake it holds the electrical brake switch.
Loosen it and rotate the lower portion over counter clkwise some and tighten nut. play w/ how far you rotate it until the lite goes on when you move the hand brake about 1/8 inch. You will hear the switch click at the point when litte goes on. you want the lite to go on b4 the brake pads engage on the disk, that way you can warn you buddies behind you w/ out actually slowing down.

Wish I had seen this post before I brought mine into the dealer for the same porblem. I didn't see how you could adjust it, guess I just didn't look good enough. If the dealer comes back with some other answer, I'll let you know.

Look at the hand brake lever from under it and you will see exately what I'm saying.
