So I'm going to writing Santa a list of things that I need. Yes.......it's a need and not a want.
1. A left arm that works. If that is not possible, refer to #2
2. A Yami w/ p/s and the absolute best(cushy)ride possible comming from the factory. The accident of mine also gave me a AFU back. So...... power steering for my lack of two good arms & a posh ride to aleviate back pains. And fuel injection.

If I had to ride Trails again back east my choice build would be APEX XTX 144 that power steering combined with the Fox floats in the rear and Fox Evol-X's on the Front, would make for an extremely comfortable ride (similar to my current MTN ride but shorter track with power steering). And the best part is that Engine is bulletproof when properly Maintained.

I have 2 discs in my lower back that are messed right up for the past 3 seasons, with a properly tuned air suspension I don't feel a thing, as in absolutely No impact even when dropping cliffs.

Good Luck keep us Posted!!!

I'll definately keep that in mind. My L3/4 is AFU as well.

Is there other choice beside Yamaha for power steering? Or when you guys say sleds in plural you mean different models from yammy?

I know of a young guy who rides with one arm around here. Not sure who many miles he does tho.

I ride with a buddy that has a Venture with no pwr steering and he rides the crap out of it and keeps up with all the rest of us. Whenever we trade sleds it is really easy to ride and easy on the back with lots of power. You have to slow down a little more in the corners though as it feels a little tippy.

The Apex XTX was the easiest sled to drive when it got rough on the Big Bay demo ride last year. The extra length plus EPS made it very stable when it got rough and twisty. I got a kick out of the Yamaha guys in front of me on Nytros fighting every corner. I was having to check up and let them get out of the way in each corner before opening the 4-cylinder up. Numerous times a couple of them about tipped over. Then I rode the Nytro and I could see why. It took a lot more effort to drive the Nytro at the same speed in the twisties when it got bumpy due to having to make constant corrections because of twitchiness in the bumps. The Apex 144 is incredibly stable and predictable as long as you don't overcook the entry. The stock power is very respectable, and unless you are used to turbo power it is sufficient.

Overcooking is one of my least worries. I'll probably have more of an issue squeezing the throttle.......getting flashbacks, jitters and flinching. And stock power will just be fiiiiiiine with me.
Does the XTX have adjustable ride like the RX1s did? And are there any years of the Apex XTX that standout......good or bad.
