bought it at the start of last winter. has a polaris edge rear suspension with a fox clicker shock. plastic ski's, was originaly blue but the previous owner bought a black hood and silver seat. sense i purchesed, ive painted the inside of the windsheild flat black, made a small tunnel extention to make up for the rear srx h/e (track would hit the h/e if i didnt do this) now im looking into a seat mod. been looking around on the forums at lift's/seat combo's. would still love to buy a boss seat but we'll see what happens, it has 2in bar risers atm but i have some 7in risers that i need to install. anywho, onto some pictures... enjoy! now as you can see the h/e hose's arent going to be long enough, my moms got a vector gt and i was checking out her h/e hose's while my dad was installing the trailer hitch and they seem almost a full 2-3inches longer, going to order some of those to run my h/e with the extention.

Very sharp, love the black. That looks like a hood and seat of the 04 viper er. Very hard to find. Always wanted to change the wifes blue over to that if i ever came across one. Looks like nice work on your extension. you can use 1" radiator hose with coil over springs at the bend near floor boards. This is what i used on my extended vipers. The spring deals alow you to form the hose in a bend without in kinking. Can be found at any auto parts stores.

yup hood and seat from a 04. apparently the seats have more padding also. (not sure if thats true, but thats what he told me). also thought about that for the h/e but the tubes from a vector are only 15$... so its not that bad. extention was done from a sheet metal guy at my fathers work. he did an awesome job... i guess if you do things like that everyday you get good lol.

thanks for the comments.

Boss seat or this are plenty nice

That home made? I was also thinking maybe a seat from a vector or apex or phazer... But well see, like I said my mother has a vector so maybe I'll see how much modding I would have to do.

It's a seat off of a pro xr. Rip the stock cover off, unstitch the pieces of fabric that say Polaris on them, lay them over the stock yamaha seat cover, trace and cut out the yammi cover, piece the new yamaha pieces onto to old polaris cover and put back on the seat foam. Next wire in the tail light, drill a few holes and walla, new seat. a member on this site actually made the seat i just bought it off him.

I have a few other ideas for you to spark your imagination.
viperseat2.jpg

This one used insulation board stacked up, glued together then trimmed to the shape he was looking for. A foam pad was placed on top for toosh comfort.

This sled used the stock seat with a ton of seat foam added and the seat cover was modified to fit.
Hope some of these help out.

Paitned Gas Tank

How did you paint the gas tank on the viper? Did you sand down the tank and then paint it? or is it off an Apex?

that looks a lot like "concept carbons" old sled. maybe not his..... but reminds me of the pics of his

no idea who that is... it is possible though, im sure he came on these forums.

as for the ideas, i seen the build thread for that second one with all the foam. i may just end up making a raiser. i dont like having my knees bent for long periods... if i ride my mothers vector im fine for ever. but by doing the riser i find the stock seat is a little to wide. i love the narrow seats (vector/phazer)

another question... any one ever order from tracksusa.com? i was looking on there for my rail extentions. price seems fair...150$ for the pair.

wow after doing some research... turns out it is his old sled. oh the things you find out after you buy a sled.

The gray plastic piece that separates the head lights, if you could paint that black it'd be awesome, if not still a great sled, it was well taken care of

The painted viper tank was mine. It was sanded down and smoothed out with high build primer. I tried this twice and failed both times. The gas vapor permiates through the plastic and causes the paint to bubble. As cool as it looks I don't recommend doing it. I have switched back to a stock tank now.

I have his old ported top end in my Viper, I believe my stock top end is in that sled now.

Probably, hopefully I didn't buy a hack job of a sled... Would have been nice to know that it was fully done up.

How the heck did you get stock viper cables to work with a 7in riser? I went 4in on mine and had to get mtn viper cables.
