Well as winter nears and I haven't really touched the sled since the last clean up of the end of the season I was wondering what all do you guys do to prep your sleds for the season??
I bought this 05 viper last year at the start of the season and put about 300-400 miles on it. I don't know what previous maintence the previous owner conducted, but it ran great for me all season, other than a few ratcheting problems.
So should I clean the carbs? Clean the power valves? What should I do to get her ready? Also what kind of grease do you guys use on the grease zerks?

Clean carbs, put fresh fuel in tank when ready to run, clean and adjust power valves, grease all zerk fittings with low temp grease, change plugs, inspect belt, clean clutches and check offset, check track tension, inspect hyfaxes for wear, change chaincase oil, and inspect bearings.
additionally
Drain fuel tank completely, then when ready to run re-fill with fresh gas. Did you fog your motor before you put it away?

To add to the bearings i alway grease the speedo and jackshaft bearings. The speedo is easy to just get off and clean and repack. The jack shaft is a little more involved if your not taking the whole chain case apart. Just lift the seal off and repack best ya can getting out as much of the old grease as possible.
