Would i be allright running 93 octane or should i stack the gasket? I asked don this qeustion before but cant remember what he said its been a while. My comp ratio is 13.1 155 pounds. Im tring to get out of mixing feul. 780 ported megaheads cpr pipes. Thanks for all the help.

If the compression ratio your stating is accurate I would say your going to need better fuel. Your a bit higher than what we have run for compression ratio in the past and we needed good fuel. You don't want any detonation problems with a 780. It spells $$$ for repairs.

No expert here, and every motor is different, but my 780 motor blew about 155psi on my gauge and I was fine running the freshest non-ethanol 91/92 I could get and 8oz of Torco Accelerator to every 5 gallons of fuel. Ran it that way for the better part of 4 years and when I took it apart for rings it looked just like the day I put it together. Used it here in MN and ran it out MT and WY once or twice a year too. That's my experience

I run the same setup. Simons CPR BB 780 and CPR pipes. My mega power inserts are setup 24CC with .05 squish at 14 degrees. My gauge reads 150-152.
I have been mixing 50/50 100LL and premium pump because I was afraid of deto. I don't think its necessarily a requirement to run race fuel if you set up jetting on the wet side. Also keep loooong pulls to a minimum 1000-1200 or less. Once you begin to lean out this motor the fun factor increases. When I get close to perfect jetting my face begins to hurt from smiling. This plug chop is 1000 feet 5 passes. I will pull 1200 to 1500 feet without worry. My clutches are slammed at this distance anyway ---mac---
