found some NOS secondary sheaves for a good price. I was going to pick them up to build a new secondary for my race sled project. When I looked up the part #s they are listed for the SX sleds while SRX and Vipers have different part #s. I didnt realize they were different. anyone know what the differences are?
depending on which stamp number is on the sheave, i have never had an issue mixing innners or outers or from sled to sled.
cant really answer your question, but as a guess perhaps the sheave angle holds a clue?
now if your dipping back to the 95-96 era, the difference lies in the shaft.

its a 8CR-17660-20-00 vs 8CR-17660-10-00 for the SRX/Viper, listed for the newer sx sleds
the difference between those is the windage plates, or the ability to mount them.
some were pre-drilled and tapped, some were plugged, and some just flat wouldnt accept the windages unless you drilled and tapped your own.
the -20's would be questionable status as to receiving windage plates(plates wouldnt be an option on these) the -10's would readily accept them in most cases.
