Looking forward to getting on the trail this year. First sled I've owned in 30+ years! I have an equipment question; specifically a helmet question. I want to know if shields are interchangeable from a m/c helmet to a sled helmet.
In getting us ready for sledding, I haven't budgeted new helmets into gear for this year (unless I have to), and didn't want to blindly buy (snowmobile-type) shields for my HJC helmets if they are not interchangeable. Thanks everyone, Enjoying all the info on the forum!

Thanks! I'll check them out. So what you are saying is, it IS possible to get the dual lenses to swap out on a M/C helmet?!? It sure would save some $$$. Thanks again, and there WILL be snow this year. I am already seeing signs of an early winter

m/c helmets are the exact same!!! you gust have to add a electric shield witch is around $100 or a anti fog shield that never worked for me witch is i think $30 to $50 and a breath guard witch id like $10 it depends on what model helmet it is.yournytech said:Thanks! Sweet. I have ordered a dual lense from Canada (ay) for my helmet, a breather shield, and a bacalava (sp?) to keep my hot air from fogging it up. I will be 100% ready once I replace a bearing in a bogie wheel, and replace my right trailing arm (both are on the way). Changed the case oil this morning. Taking the carbs off next weekend. I'm ready! Thanks for the info!!!SRX500kid said:m/c helmets are the exact same!!! you gust have to add a electric shield witch is around $100 or a anti fog shield that never worked for me witch is i think $30 to $50 and a breath guard witch id like $10 it depends on what model helmet it is.
