Matt Hopkins 724 Benefit
Dear Community Member,
On October 20th, 2012, a benefit will be hosted by the family and friends of Matt Hopkins. Matt was injured in a dirt bike accident while riding on his track on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012. He sustained injuries to his spinal cord at C3-C4 levels, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down.
The road to recovery has been long and challenging for Matt, and continues to improve daily. The October benefit will be an opportunity for Matt’s loved ones to raise money to afford the various costs associated with his new life. Specifically, the money raised will help defray the costs of Matt’s hospitalizations at Froedtert in Milwaukee, The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, home renovations and transportation needs.
Matt is well known for his sense of humor, spontaneity and his outgoing personality that everyone loves. Most importantly, he loves his family, friends and is a proud father of his four year old daughter, Hayden, who means the world to him.
We need your support to make this event a success. We are soliciting for donations of all kinds from local businesses. We would appreciate any contribution you could make to the event, including items for our silent or live auctions, raffles, food, services or money. In recognition of your generosity and kindness, we will acknowledge your donation in hand-out at our event.
If you are willing to contribute to the benefit for Matt, please contact his uncle, Mike Eidenberger, at 262-284-5995 or email hopkins724@wi.rr.com.
Donations can also be mailed to or dropped off at:
Yamaha of Port Washington, Inc.
540 W Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074
Telephone: (262) 284-5995 or (262) 377-5480
On behalf of Matt and his family, thank you in advance for your donation. The tremendous support of the community has and continues to be an invaluable part of the recovery process for Matt.
Sincerely,
Matt Hopkins’s family and friends
