Hey guys, just wondering whats involved in changing crank bearings on a 2001 SRX700. I am assuming they are pressed on and the crank will need to come apart. Any idea of time involved and or cost?
Thanks!

the outers will slide right off. All the inners (between the rods), the crank needs to come apart. Re pressed back together, re-phased, & welded. I think it can be done for around $450.00.

I had Jeff at midwest crank in Greenbay do my Viper crank. It was $450 for a complete rebuild and replacing the center rod that had let go. He's a great guy and midwest has a very good reputation on here and other sites for their work. You won't be disappointed dealing with him.

YOu can also send your crank out to CB performance. supporting vendor on this site.

Bruce Krumholz is his name and good to deal with on crank rebuilds. He might be able to beat the above prices. His user name is 2ooosrx
