I hope some one can help me. My 2000 sx 700 has v force delta 2 reeds and a modified silencer. I installed a maxx performance clutch kit for a stock sxr700. It runs 8df weights,4.5 inner, 3.1 outer, Maxx red spring, 7MS0 progressive helix, green secondary spring @ 70 degrees.
The shift rpm should be 8250-8350 but it is about 9200. I changed the outer rivet to 4.5 and it still hits 9000 top end.
What can i do to get the revs down, different weights or change the gearing?

Align your clutches if the new belt does not work. You shouldn't be overreving that much with that set up.

First, check for wear in both clutches by pulling out the spings, and wiggling everything. You could have some binding causing the sheaves to not reach full shift out.
Other than that, I'd try putting the stock primary spring back in as a test. Some of the aftermarket primary springs are crazy stiff. Good luck!
