I recently picked up a very cheap Exciter II And the inner sheave of the primary has a bad groove worn in it. Im afraid that if it fails it will at best break something, and at worst hurt someone. Will the inner sheave of similar year sleds work as well? Ive found Phazer II cluches cheap on ebay. Would that inner sheave work?

I don't think the Phazer II will work. Carries a different part #. Phazers had the oil pump on the PTO end which required a different inner sheave. The spider and other #'s are the same though. 92 Vmax-4 carries the same part # on the inner sheave, spider and sliding sheave. It should work with calibration. Vmax 500/600 may also work.

I may have a spare inner that is good off a 92 V-4. Would have to look.

Let me know if you do. I would be interested in that part.
