Hey guys,

Im also a Ontario member and I'm trying to source parts to freshen up my 02 viper. I was thinking of changing the skids and front shocks and also a track extension. In the end i want more ground clearance. Checked the hartman extension kit and that looks good but not sure if I want to use the skid extension piece. Id rather get a longer skid. Has anyone found a bracket to lower the track mounting point. Ive been searching for weeks and i want to get started soon so that im ready for this winter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Eric

First off I started a new thread for you. Some options would be drop brackets for the rear and just drill new holes for the others. If you lower the front mount youd be creating a less desirable approach angle so you may just want to lower the mid mount to keep the right relation between front and rear. Another option is to set back the skid for the longer track. this would allow you to lower the skid some and keep a good approach angle. Or you could find a used Mountain Viper skid and mount the way the Mountain Viper is mounted. they sit up higher than the standard Viper

Is there a common place for used parts. I dont know if im completely blind or what not but i cant seem to find any used skids. Would the hartman long track kit be a good solution for the rear. It probably wont raise the rear tho. right? also for the front if i source some mtn viper links would that raise the front. Thanks again.

Hartman is a reputable name for the parts you're lookin at, drop brackets are right up your alley for what you're trying to do

If you are around orillia total rec in breckin is a member here but give him a call for yamy/doo used parts.
