you can try heelclickers,or 8bu's but loaded stock weights have worked good for me.Could not pu speed with the other setups..8dn-20 's loaded with a 51/43 helix has got me to 118 speedo on ice..all around good setup..Depend s what you are going to use the sled for..trail or drag racing.

4.5 g rivets both holes, sometime I add 1 extra gram(washer) with the rivet on the tip..depends on your rpm's.Try for 8500 rpm's wot..I am gearing down 1 tooth upper,so will probably have to add a washer in tip.

If you don't mind me asking and putting it out there what by chance did you pay for your 02?I'm trying to work out a deal on one in Maine and am trying to get a handle on the market value for an 02 SRX.I know pricing varies from state to state but I would like a general idea and I don't want to insult the guy too much when I stomp on his FIRM price.

The one I'm looking at is priced the same but needs a speedo cable and has about 3400 miles. The guy wants $2500 firm but he said in an email to me that the sled is in ok condition, what he considers ok I don't know but I'm hoping to go look at it Friday.

FB, just my opinion here so take it for what its worth. Sleds arent moving here, I see the same ones for sale here week after week on both CL and UH. like I said in your other thread, if it were me lookin to buy that sled I'd like to be in it around 2k. I'd probably start at like 17 and look to meet around 2. but alot of that is in the art of haggling, some guys are good at and some arent. need to point out whats wrong in a way that doesnt turn the seller off. A lot hinges on how much they need to sell, and with your travel distance in mind you probably dont want to P him off too much. But if you go about it right you should be able to get the deal done. even if you end up around the 2300 area you probably didnt too bad considering you probably dont want to leave empty handed for the time and travel.

I agree with staggs. After last winter most are reluctant to spend right now on this sport so there are some pretty good deals out there this year.
