Peak torque or peak horsepower

I asked this before but can not find the post.We finially have snow to ride so I am tuning,or trying to tune my clutches.For lake running do I want to tune for peak torque out of the hole and mid range and then let the rpms climb up to peak horsepower on the big end?02 SRX-think peak torque is around 8250-8300 and peak horsepower is 85-8600 thanks-Harvey

For long lake runs you want a 1-200 rpm overev..low end torque won,t help on a hi speed long pull. You want to use low end grunt for anything 500-660'.
