HI All,
dont get me wrong i really like my srx, but i was thinking about buying an RX-1 if they come out with a turbo on the sled straight from the factory. is there anybody else on here that would drop their 2 stroke yammi for a new turbo RX-1... i would be more than happy to sacrifice some weight for a bunch of HP. i heard a rumor dont know how true it is about yamaha coming out with a turbo RX-1. im really starting to like the looks of that sled.

I'm waiting for a Warrior with mono shock, fuel injection. Turbo would be great too, but may put the sled in the $15K range.

I would consider if the price was comparative to the new Mach Z (10,500). I doubt they could turbocharge it that cheap, but I could be wrong (lets hope).

they might do a turbo vector for a little more than the mach z. Turbo kits cost because of all the hand built stuff, a factory kit might be doable for $2k extra. if I'm not mistaken thats in the Mach Z range for price with a little more power, or alot more with a lower compression engine.
A turbo vector would kill off the RX1. throw in a 800cc twin and yami has a pretty good cross section of sleds with 2 motors, add a 600cc single and all bases covered with all 4 strokes ( I don't expect 2 entirly new motors in 1 year though )

Heck, Id trade my Polaris for just about ANY Yamaha that is an '01 or newer!
Seriously though, I would rathar have something that is 80 hp and 450 pounds than to have a sled that is 160 hp but weighs 600 pounds.
Those of you who ride in the Minocqua area know what I mean. The trails there are very tight and twisty. The trails in some spots are pretty narrow and have a lot of hairpin corners. Also, a lot of the time the corners are either bare ground or glare ice.
Id probably be pretty happy with an RS Vector though. At 530 pounds dry they arent all that much heavier than my EDGE.
