Was wondering what type of improvement you would get on this set up. Its a stock 2003, 168 studs, Maxx rods. Was looking for an aggr. trail, occasional lake race. Happy with it until about 70-75MPH then it needs nitrous or something. Maybe pipes next year. Was thinking about a hauck #3 or #4. Any help would be appreciated.

Tried mine this weekend. I have a 02 Viper stock with 144 studs transfer rods and engine torque limiter. I was on fresh snow so I dont know how accurate this is. It seemed to me that it has more pull than stock. Backshift is great. Dont know about top end, i was loosing traction on the fresh snow. From start had the track spin? As we know the stock track isnt that good! But it seemed to pull real strong from 40-70 and then from 70-95 pretty good. I feel it is better than stock setup. I would recommend trying it!

Is it better to use the green spring at 60 degrees or the stock red one at 80 degrees?

I didn't try the red sping. For the $12 I just bought the green and used that. I bought mine from http://www.pioneermotorsport.com/pp_index.htm I had recieved the parts in 2 days. Good quality on the helix. Also machined for full shift out, as the stock one isnt. Who ever you buy the helix from make sure the bushing is included/installed. A friend of mine bought one and it came without and he had a hard time intalling the bushing. Took 2 bushings, broke one trying to install it. Said it was a pain to install. I found Pioneers price to be the cheapest. I am real happy with the results that I don't think I will try the red spring. Hats off to ya Turk!!
