Any body ever use these fly weights to tune their sled?

Looking for a general reveiw, ease of use, and cost effectiveness.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Love my heavy hitters, I've used them in both srx's and Vipers with good results. There are better weights for specific things but they are a great all around weight and fairly easy to dial in. I've won both radar runs and grass drags using heavy hitters but I will admit in both circumstances I could have gotten more out of the sled with different weights.

X2, great weights. Easy to tune just takes time to change hardware. I've ran them in my srx for the seasons now.

What weights do you think you would have gotten more out of and why?

On my 780 SRX I got quicker ET's with heel clickers But less speed. I got more speed than the HH's with 8bu10's
On my Viper again quicker ET's with heel clickers but less speed. Got my best speeds with the HH's on the Viper but want to compare to 8ca's this year.

your going to have less mph with a faster/quicker ET because your not on the track as long to build mph! So that means you would be the first to the finish line in a drag race. Also means you would not win a radar top speed contest because you had less time on the track to build mph.

Yeah, that's my point. For drags all I use is the HC's now. For radar runs I've had better luck with other weights.

Most of us that have raced for a while understand that it takes time to build speed, so at times the first to the finish line in a drag race[quickest] can be travelling at a slower mph then the second place finisher[fastest]. This concept escapes a lot of people that are new to racing so its important that it is thrown out there for people to get their heads around...LOL...obviously staggs65 and mrviper exluded!

I like Heavy Hitters and their baby brother Thunder Shift weights and it is all I ever run in all my sleds...except...my 866 VMAX4 Mod snow drag sled I had. In the 866 I ran Heal Clickers with excellant results!
