Hey guys, buddy of mine has a 99 Srx 700 that Im looking at for him right now. I have the clutches apart but am unsure what exactly I have. I dont know the history of the machine and he doesnt know either. The clutches were filthy, anyways got them cleaned up and this is what I found:

Primary is marked 89F-00 on the inner sheave
88R is marked on the spider
Has 15.5mm rollers in it
Weights are marked 89F and weigh in at 48 grams

I have my SRX set up with heelclickers but my original stock weights were 8dn's, Ive heard of other weights (8Bu's etc) Have never heard of an 89f

He is having some problems with the clutches in the sled for sure, I know a large part of it was how dirty everything was, but Im wondering if someone may have tinkered with this before or just tried to jimmyrig it to sell it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

sounds like a phazer II clutch and components from around 92 up in the pogo chassis, prior to 99.

cant tell you anything about the compatability with the srx, but those numbers jive with my 95 pz.

Ok perfect! Thanks for the help, will be looking for a used srx clutch now... Buddy has complained that the machine has never worked right for him at all, I never got a chance to look at it till this year... Lol this could be a very good reason why!
