I bought a 2000 SRX that needs some loving. I had 3 SRX's when they were new and sold them to buy RX1's and regretted it ever since. Recently decided to get back in. Got a 2000 SRX with 4800 miles for $1100 and a 2002 SRX with 3500 for $1800. I am not opposed to putting some money into them, I love these things and want them to be top shape.
So, the 2000. I'd like to get a new air filter but can't seem to find any. Are there good aftermarket add-ons I can get that will increase performance? The area where you put your feet are missing a lot of paint...I could have them repainted but also could they be replaced? If so where? And where is the best priced place to get a track for it? I see them all over, used on ebay..etc etc...but I want to get it right. What do you guys suggest?
Thanks guys, more to come I am sure. This is a good start. =)

Guessing air filter is the foam on top of the air box. As far as changing foot wells, anything is possible but probably ALOT easier to paint. Another popular option is to remove all the paint and polish the raw alumium.

stick with the stock airbox. nothing to gain there on a stock engined trail sled

As far as track (or any other parts) goes I would start checking with the vendors/advertiser's. They are listed under the forums. Suggest what ever you run keep it to 1" or 1.25" any taller lugs and you run out of room in the tunnel and have to swap out to 8 tooth drivers, pull the heat xchanger protectors and such. Lots of choices in types of track to run, depends alot on your riding style and what/where your riding is.
