Pipe insulation...Help!? What do I use

I took my pipes off and took off the heat shields to paint the pipes. When I got them apart I realized the insulation is gone from 2 of them and only one pipe has insulation left under the shields. What should I put under the shields? I heard that wrap will get wet and make them rust. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Or do you run it without any insulation? Just the shields?

Any exhaust insulation packing will work, for example FMF or any company that makes motorcycle exhaust.

Ok thanks. I just ordered some on ebay. Should be good to go then.
