Hey Guys. I Am Having A Hard Time Getting The Best Setting On My 2002 Srx's Front Suspension With Ohlins. It Seems To Be Very Stiff And Has Very Little Dampning. Which Way Do You Turn The Key For Hard And Which Way For Soft. And For Bumps, What Setting Is The Best, I Am 200 Lbs. Let Me Know...thanks

Hre is a page that tells you almost everything about the ohlins. Click on the link and go to tables on the bottom of the screen. Then go to front suspension. Then click on what you desire. I hope this helps

It is under the tables, front suspension, Ohlins shock compression damping. I cannot link it for some reason but here it is copied and pasted.
Numbers of clicks out
Minium / Stiffest = 1 click out
Standard = 7-8 clicks out
Maxium / Softest = 16 clicks out
Turn the adjuster in until it lightly bottoms, then count the numbers of clicks out.
NOTE SRX : 8 clicks are standard

I cannot recall right now but if I were to guess it would be clockwise. The one way to make sure is if you look at the gap between the black spinning cap and the aluminum on the shock, turn it the way where the black cap goes toward the aluminum till it stops. As for the best setting, I have not messed around with it to much but when I am jumping my sled I turn it to 3-4 and when I am trail riding I like it around 10-12. Seems to be much smoother on the trail then. If I were you, I would just mess around with it a little bit and find out what fits you, it is easy to mess with too.

Ohlins compression damping In is clockwise(stiffest). Turn out 8 clicks is standard setting. All the way out counter clockwise is softest.

thanks boys, i was test running the srx tonight, found out it was on its stiffest setting. i dialed her in at 11 and found it to be the best for my riding style. those ohlins are great when they perform like you want em too...
