Srx Seat Front Edge Bunched Up...

There should be like a big band under that part of the seat connected by two screws screwed into the gas tank. Make sure those are wrapped around both screws. I know it sounds stupid of me to comment on something like that but more stupid things have been done in the past. Let me know if those are on.

YEAH THOSE ARE IN PROPER POSITION, WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT I AM SURE EVERYONE HAS EXPERIENCED, THE FRONT BAND ON THE SEAT PULLS BACK AND THEN BUNCHES UP BETWEEN THE SEAT AND TANK. I WAS CURIOUS IF ANYONE CAME UP WITH A CURE FOR IT YET. I ACTUALLY THOUGHT SOMEONE WOULD HAVE FIXED IT.
THANKS FOR YOU COMMENT 2ooosrx...lets see what we can come up with to fix this issue...

Well if those are on, another ting you can check is in the back in the seat compartment, unscrew the two nuts a little then push the seat up as far as possible and tighten them back down allowing less room for the flange to get in between there. I had rode my srx with the srx seat for many miles (now I am using a viper seat) and I have never had that problem. I will try to help you but like I said, that has never happened to me. Try what I told you and let me know what happens.

Thanks For You Interest And Input On This Matter...allthough I Dont Think That Shifting The Seat Forward Will Prevent It From Happening. Its Just When You Sit On The Seat The Seat Tends To Flex And Pull The Band Back And Then When The Seat Settles Back Into Its Proper Position The Band Is Now Bunched And I Have To Push It Back Forward Till Its Nice And Flat And Uniform Again. I Guess Im Alittle Particular But Lots Of My Buddies Are Having This Same Issue.

What I did was get some foam water pipe insulation tubing and cut it in 1/2 or more and place it under the seat flap(flap for the lack of a better term) and the foam raises the flap nicely and gives it a smooth transition to the tank.

thanks srx7, finally a solution to my problem. im gonna try it and ill be sure to let you know how it works. by the way what size water pipe insulation did you use and did you just place it along the top edge... man i hope it works, do you place the round side up? you say you cut it in half right?

It was the stuff that fits normal copper pipe.I think they come in 4' lengths.Cut it in 1/2 first and place the round side up.If it sticks up ( makes the flap look to high)to much cut off another 1/4 or less till it looks good.
It will make the flap look good and smooth and/or will force the flap up and look proper.
Luck
Here ya go this stuff
