How much less does a light weight front end kit radius rods tie rods and steering rod weigh in pounds? Everyone advertises half the weight of stock. Also an aluminum steering post. The lighter the better as I am trying to shed some more weight off my prostock.

CB perf aluminum ski spindles............................................-2lbs
SLP lite weight wave brake rotor.........................................-3lbs
Removed stud protectors...................................................-2lbs
Boss seat........................................................................-10lbs
Titanium suspension X shafts.............................................-2lbs

You can also use viper aluminum bumper supports instead of the steel ones.

I did a set years ago I drilled them out in the middle they were feather light. Plus polished them up for the look.

The front bumper has been removed completely. Don't need trailing arms as I have some custom made one's that weigh 3lbs each, maybe less since I have shortened them 8 inches. I assume the kit includes trailing arms to save that much weight. What about the steering post? How much does the boss seat weigh? I lightened the stock seat. It now weighs 10lbs.

Hard to justify $600 for 3lbs. I don't know how anyone can get one of these sleds to weigh 400lbs. After I buy light weight stuff and I have stripped it of every piece not needed the thing will still weigh around 430lbs. The Mickey skid is 10lbs heavier than say a proline or wahl but it works.

I know it took a lot of work and $$$ to get my 144" 2002 SRX trail sled under 500lbs. I had to go to Aaen pipes to break the 500lb mark and now since I run Power Inc pipes its slightly over 500lb.

Cheaper and easier to lose weight from one's own self.

42 years old. 6' tall and weigh 183 lbs. Already shed 10 lbs since summer by walking and eating better in order to get ready for sledding this winter. Trying to get to 175 lbs by the time snow flies.

SRX_700 congrats on ur efforts to maintain yourself. It definitely gets harder as ya age. I myself am on that famous seafood diet. See food, well u know the rest. Still hit the gym 3-4 days a week though. Tryin to maintain. Sorry bout the hijack.
Ha. I just find it funny when people spend all this time and money to try and lighten up their sled 12 lbs and the rider weighs 240.
To each his own, I guess.

SRX 700 I agree it is cheaper but not easier. I am 5 11 and 210-213. My goal is to get down to 200 and if I get my sled to weigh 430 then I will be at weight. An ideal weight for me is 185 but I dought I will see that again LOL.
