i measured from the edge of the driveshaift to the first mounting bolt on the zrt wich was roughly 7 1/2 inche and that is were i place my front mount on the vmax. the skid sits to where for any reasonthe suspension compress straight up the tip of the slides will ride in between the drivers. i dont know if its enough clearance of the drives but the tip of the skid to the drishaft is the same distance on both zrt and sx so i dont see any problems with that so far on the rear i ended up moveing the mount 2 inches back wich is still on the steel monting plate. for the front i sandwiched two big washer in-between thetunnel until i can get some thin steel to rivet in as a mounting plate. so far with the 5 minute grass run i felt no racheting clanking or any odd behavior. the sled is set up exactly how i want it. it will carry the skis under hard acceleration but is still control able enough for a turning. it will carry the skis about 10 inches just by hard throttle but if you stand up and lean back it has no problem dragging the grab bar which should be perfect for drift playing and ditch banging.
