Yamaha claims that air is forced directly into the airbox on the Viper via the forced air induction. At first glance, it would appear that this is accomplished by the air travelling into the scoops, through the ductwork in the dash, and into the airbox. Closer examination reveals however that the "ducts" in the dash are blocked off and the air is actually dumped under the hood, above the brake on one side, and over the belt on the other. This being the case, what makes those neat looking scoops any different than a couple of extra normal hood vents?
