FLYWHEEL question
I have friend here that did my bottomend this summer for me crank seals, checked the crank over still with in specs he told me, water pump rebuild,
My question is:
My flywheel had nicks and dents on the 2 of the 3 bumps but still it worked fine, started the sled everytime now, he told me for racing I'm loosing HP from these dents and nicks is this True
this is the other problem I put everything back together bought a flywheel from a member here, he put that one on, that is the only differance from it running last year now it won't fire it has no spark

part number for new flywheel is the same for 2000 and up SRX's(8DN-81450-00-00)The 98's and 99's are totally different beasts and way cheaper..Brand new not from a dealer I can find for $375..dealer probably $600..Try switching your stator also and see what gives. You may have to spend a few more bucks to solve this one Andy..sorry to say.

Try unpluging the key switch and check for spark. I had one go bad over night.

Andy where are you???? TRY by cutting off the load control relay and see if anything changes.
Check your pickup coil resistance as well.

I tried that and it tested out too .215 between the wires at room temp, I have 2 stators and the flywheel with me here the sled is down the road in the garage

you got to try unplugging the control relay as well,by pass's all dash and lighting and simply get's it to do a start procedure. This will eliminate any short or ground anywhere...
