has anyone tried the race logics porting templates on the sxr600 motor? I am wondering how much hp would be gained from doing this with the stock pipe? Would it loose any low end power? Also would u have to change the pilot jets or could u get away with just puting biger main jets in it?
I have not personally tried Race Logic porting temps on an engine yet.... But I do hear alot of positive feedback from those that did use their product, some guys here use the sport port product idea and add a little twist to it and end up with good results also. The biggest part of the process is you need to have the right tools to do the job, it's not to bad opening up the exhaust port through the exhaust port, it is getting to the transfers that gets to be tricky. Plus you need a farily steady hand and knowledge of how the grider cuts and removes material so that you dont make an irrepairable mess.

Thanks for responding! As far as tools go i have just about every kind of grinder or deburer id need. I also have alot of experience with metal. Just seems like for how cheap the templates are its worth trying for fun. Id like to make my sled a sleeper so im trying to stay away from tripple pipes.
